Hello! In this thread I'll give you some ideas and information on how to get started before you say "Photoshop is hard to use!" because if you say that, you're wrong. It's easy to use after you learn the basics and practice a little. But, before I begin with the guide itself, let me show some example of what you can do with the power of Photoshop. Photo Manipulation: Photo manipulation is the application of image editing techniques to photographs in order to create an illusion or deception (in contrast to mere enhancement or correction), through analog or digital means. http://www.youthedesigner.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/photoshop-examples-21.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/photo_manipulation_12.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/photo_manipulation_34.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/photo_manipulation_23.jpg Typography: Typography is performed by typesetters, compositors, typographers, graphic designers, art directors, comic book artists, graffiti artists, clerical workers, and anyone else who arranges type for a product. http://d2f8dzk2mhcqts.cloudfront.net/117_Earth/final_1920.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/typeinp13.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/typeinp16.jpg http://webdesignledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/typeinp18.jpg Web Design: Most of the websites are now designed using Photoshop because there you have unlimited ways to customize your website and make it how you want it to be. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/013/a/e/Web_design__Amazium_by_sergitosuanez.jpg http://slodive.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/single/ormanclark.jpg Now because I got your attention and I know that you want to learn how to do that, I'll start with the guide. The first step is to learn the basics of Photoshop, and that means we must learn how to use the tools, filters and the other many options of PS. To learn that, I'll add the links for some tutorials from YouTube. Remember! This is a verry important step, so don't jump over this. You can't do much if you don't know how to use Photoshop... This is my brand new, freshly made "Feel the Beat" Signature! I suppose its not my "best" work i'm capable of at this point.. I spent a fair amount of time on it for a signature.. but i'd never spend more then 1-2 hours on anything like this, only due to the fact that its just for "fun". If you guys would like to have it released just comment below and ask, i'm up for any requests to have it done. I would've made a Poll on it but decided to have people rate that way instead. (Rating/Polling is public due to the fact that people sometimes just like to be assholes and give it a bad rating "because they can anonymously".) -Rate/CC- Border #1 Border #2 Render/Stock Used: http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj547/Phreez/306_zpsad734631.png'>http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj547/Phreez/306_zpsad734631.png http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj547/Phreez/music-vector-Wallpaper_zps2e2e7b56.jpg'>http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj547/Phreez/music-vector-Wallpaper_zps2e2e7b56.jpg (Hope all of you like it.. and constructive criticism is always welcome!) http://www.pixelmator.com/'>http://www.pixelmator.com/ *Afterthoughts...*/ After looking at it for awhile, I see some major flaws that I messed up on yet, it was only a 1 hour signature and I used Pixelmator. (Which I have been using for only around 2 months now and will continue to use.) Other than that.. I could've worked better on the coloring but this was the look I was going for and yes, yes I still don't have the typography down yet :/. The picture might look LQ I suppose, I was merely experimenting with a certain technique of blurring effects like Median/Soften/Miniaturize rather than the average "Gaussian Blur". I also at first, was originally going to make this as a "Greyscale Design" meaning the color scheme is grey. Later on after about 20 minutes I decided to color it back and try to kind of fix it -Quick Tip- The "scan lines" or small horizontal black faded lines in the signature are "supposed to" make the renders' outline less visible and blend together with the background better. -Credits- Render From: Ryouji Renders' Background From: Rootfan This was inspired by the new IOS Apple Mobile Music Device.
